Alright guys, my last post was a year ago!! A lot has happened! I am still into fitness don't get me wrong, but I really have been focusing more on my eating. I am happy to announce that I am down 32 pounds! I am only 22 pounds away from my first short term goal (I'll be under 200 pounds!!), and only 52 pounds away from my long term goal.
I have been eating a mostly vegetarian diet, with moderate exercise using a heart rate monitor. I have incorporated weight training and still run on occasion, but now I mostly power walk and do the elliptical.
I am happy! My pants are loose, and I feel great. I'm going to update more when I can. I just thought I would stop in and get this thing started again!!

My runs for wednesday and today!
I didn't have time to post yesterday because I went to the gym with 20 minutes to spare and ran a quick mile, showered there, and went right to work. So, Wednesday I ran a solid mile real quick.
So, 1 mile of running, the rest was warm-up/cool-down. I was in such a hurry I forgot my HR monitor, so we will go with what the treadmill says for calories burned.
Tonight, I ran a solid 2 miles. My average time per mile has gone from 19 minutes to just over 16 minutes! Very exciting that my times are dropping!!
So, 2 miles ran, the rest was a warm-up/cool-down. I ran at a little faster pace tonight as well. I usually run at about 3.9-4.0 mph. Tonight I started at 3.9 and bumped it up to 4.1 mph and stayed there. I'm going to try to keep pushing the speed up as I go. Just for an added challenge lol. My HR monitor said I burned 442 calories.
I'm happy and proud to announce that since September 20th I have lost a total of 39 POUNDS!! I'm so excited and feel so good. I hope to lose about another 50 pounds or so. That goal is totally do-able!!

FINALLY feeling somewhat better!
Okay..it's been over a week! I started out with a stomach virus, that turned into an upper respiratory infection, that turned into bad bronchitis!! So, that put me out of commission for quite a while! Since I could not exercise from April 19th to today, I gained 4 pounds back of what I lost :( I'm upset about it, but I'm just going to pick up where I left off and get right back to it.
I'm not 100% yet, but I attempted to go back to the gym today on a spur of the moment decision. It was a struggle because I still cannot breathe good yet, however I managed to get a mile run out of it. Not my best time for a mile (19 mins), but at least I tried.
I first started out feeling like such a failure. I was upset about the weight gain, and upset that one mile felt like 10 to me today. I came home upset and almost crying. It took my logical thinking hubby to remind me that I've been SICK and am not 100% yet, and to just stop. So, I did.
So, back at it. I have to work tomorrow and after work I will go back and do a small run again unless I'm feeling better. I'll just have to see.

Stomach Virus, No Progress :(
Hello all.
Well, my son Scott brought home a stomach bug Friday....and while he is feeling better, I'm still not so hot. Not to be too graphic, but I'm scared to run or work out because I could easily shit myself. Yeah, it's that bad.
So....no weight lost, no weight gained. I'm missing running like hell and I'm hoping to be back at it in a day or two. Fingers Crossed....well, I gotta go to the bathroom :(
Yeah, I'm serious :(

TODAY'S RUN!!
I had a great run today. I did 4.15 miles!! So excited I'm going further and further each time! Here's the pics:
So out of the 4.42 miles done, 4.15 was running, the rest was warm up and cool down. According to my HR monitor I burned 1,057 calories!!
I feel great! Sore, but great. That's how I know what I'm doing is working. My work pants that I just bought a few weeks ago are already getting loose!! I will weigh in on Friday morning. Hopefully this week was as good as last. I have been eating great and being very active, so we shall see!!

Two Days Without The Gym...BOO!! But, I made due!
So, due to crazy work schedules between the hubby and I, no gym for the past two days. BUT, I still worked out here at home!! Yesterday I did On Demand Kickboxing, and today I did this:
It's a tough workout! A lot of strength training, which I need. But, doable. My HR monitor said that in 33 minutes I only burned 170 calories though!! Shoot, I'd rather run if that's all I burned at home!!
So, tomorrow back to the gym. The good thing is I stayed below my Loseit! calories both days without my gym time, and tomorrow I will be able to go!! I'm so excited!!
